The 3500/22 TDI is the communication and data-acquisition interface between the Bently Nevada 3500 monitoring rack and host software such as System 1 condition monitoring. It combines the functions of a Rack Interface Module (RIM) and a communication processor into one module.

It is mandatory in every 3500 rack and is installed in slot 1 next to the power supplies.

Central rack interface

  • Provides high-speed, bidirectional communication between the 3500 system and software.
  • Integrates RIM + communication processor functions.

Transient & steady-state data collection

  • Continuously collects:
    • Vibration waveform data
    • Start/stop transient data
    • Alarm and event data
  • Transfers data via Ethernet to host software.

Machinery condition monitoring

  • Supports vibration sensors, proximity probes, accelerometers.
  • Enables:
    • Fault detection
    • Predictive maintenance
    • Trend and waveform analysis
